Please note, there is an extra charge of £3 or £4 (depending on the cost of plugs) at this meeting to cover the cost of plugs and compost.
Don't forget to bring carrier bags or a box to carry your plants home in.

Members' Photos - Houseplants and Garden Shrubs and Flowers
Gardening Friends is a well-established and friendly gardening club in the North London borough of Enfield. We've now been going for 20 years and currently have about 30 members - men and women with varying degrees of gardening know-how.
We meet in Holy Trinity Church Hall, N21 3RS. The church is just along from the Green Lanes Sainsbury's, on the opposite side of the road, on the corner of Queen's Avenue and Green Lanes, and the hall entrance is behind the church in Queen’s Ave. The church hall has a small car parking area, but we can usually manage to fit most cars in as many people share. Alternatively, Sainsbury's nearby has a large car park with up to 3 hours free parking, and anyone with a blue badge can park in Queens Ave, though space there is rather limited.
We meet on the second Thursday of the month from 2.00pm to 4.00pm.
During the first hour of our meetings, we often have an invited speaker on gardening or related matters, as well as quizzes, practical sessions, a Christmas tea and a Mini Show in July followed by a Strawberry Tea. After a break for refreshments (tea, coffee and biscuit), we have our Plant Exchange where members can bring in their surplus plants, garden produce etc and hope to go home with something better in exchange!
There are frequent back copies of gardening magazines which members can borrow.
Subject to demand, we try to have some organised outings each year. It's all very informal and friendly!

Members' garden and plant photos: On the Members' Photograph page (see headings above) there will be new pics from members' gardens - maybe something that wasn't ready for the Mini Show, or just not portable. So please send me your photos!
Book and Misc Sales Table:
At most meetings we'll have a Book Sale table (plus a few DVDs) with all proceeds going to the club. Ordinary paperbacks and DVDs will be 50p, all other books individually priced. If you're having a book clear-out at home, we'd be very grateful for any donations.
The book sale is expected to be an ongoing addition at most meetings (the July Mini Show and Christmas Tea will be an exception).
