Visit to Theobalds Farmhouse Gardens May 10th 2023
We've booked another visit to Alison Green's Theobalds Farmhouse Gardens on 10th May 2023.
If you look back at our blog for previous years, you can see we've visited several times before at different times of the year. (There are blog entries and pics for visits this year and pre-Covid in 2017 and 2016).
For new members who haven't visited the gardens before, Alison has a series of beautiful gardens, each with a different theme, as well as a small wooded area, a pond and a stream.
Alison's gardens are always worth seeing but some years ago we visited at tulip time and her tulips were magnificent! She has told us that early May next year will probably be the best time to see them so we've booked a slot which we hope will coincide with their flowering.
Our May meeting is the next day, 11th May when Nick Dobson will be speaking (very appropriately) about tulips and bulbs.
Entry is £20 which includes a tour of all the gardens and finishes with tea/coffee and home-made cake. There are also home made preserves for sale.
