Mary's next display was another modern one, this time with vibrant red gerbera daisies and white roses with sprigs of pine tree greenery in between, to which she added shiny and sparkly green baubles on sticks, giving it a very seasonal look. For her next arrangement Mary created a more traditional table decoration with candles at its centre, which she surrounded with more of the lovely red gerberas, some pine foliage, greenery with red berries and large gold Christmas baubles - a very striking display.
To complete the Christmas theme Mary showed us how to make some simple but very effective decorative Christmas Crackers. These were large gold crackers with a circle of oasis embedded in the top to which she added white carnations, foliage and berries. Mary offered to supply the gold crackers with oasis for anyone wanting to decorate their own and several of our members, keen to try this themselves, ordered them from her.
Her last display was one she had prepared in advance and it was a beautiful foliage arrangement with a few pink daisies amongst which nestled three miniature flower pots, a little ceramic snail and a little wren! All the flower arrangements were raffled.
